Emerson is 6 Months Old!

Emerson is 6 Months Old!
On Friday Miss E turned 6 months, wowie. She is a super strong, always smiling, happy and easy baby girl. She makes anyone who meets her smile. Right now she is eager to show off her skills at razberries, squeeling, rolling over, doing pull ups on her play mat and giving face kisses. We think about how sick she was this Winter and how nobody would know when meeting her now. Can't help but feel more than grateful for what a little champ she is.

Makenzie is so in love with E and always tries to make her laugh or smile. I think of this video from when E was first born and how it is true to how M acts to this day. They are sweet sisters...

Friday's Run

Makenzie, Emerson and I went for a run and a picnic on Friday night. I really wanted to have a good "Summer" night since if feels like the days of Summer are slipping by. Jack was at the Beer Festival for his annual venutre to drink beer and hang with Tony and Jim and I was determined to do something fun too. We went to see the Willy Wonka play at Wathington Park and Makenzie was quite excited. With the stroller loaded down with two kids, picnic, bag I felt like I was pushing a gazillion pounds...especially after a week of teaching classes. My legs were fried but Makenzie was singing me songs so I was eager to go.

We got to the ampitheater and Makenzie s eyes were HUGE with excitement and she started asking tons of questions about Charlie and why the Oompa Loompas were with pink hair, how come they weren't giving out chocolate to the kids and if she could get a chocolate factory too. Emerson was just enjoying the singing and looking at everyone. We we were laughing and truly having fun. I felt at ease and was just in the moment, which was huge. It's been so busy and I have been feeling so hectic, that to just be in the moment with the girls was the best gift I could give myself.

Anywho, in celebration of Emerson being 6 months Makenzie and I sang Happy 6 Month Birthday to her and then she decided we had to make cupcakes when we got home. That part didn't happen, but these photos did. xxoo
